no other element is like it. it cleans, purifies, replenishes, and quenches my thirst. when i am surrounded by it, i feel renewed and at peace.
what a precious resource, and one so many take for granted. its beauty unparallelled, standing still or rushing down stream.
it is also a great destroyer, and yet without it we die.. it has many incarnations, from liquid to ice and back again...it can disappear if left alone, or rise from deep within the earth in barren lands. if something this incredible exists....then what unbelievable things are we capable of?
